Tourist Schengen visa requirements for Saudis

Documents required to start the visa process through us
  • Copy of the passport

  • Initial bookings (flight and hotel), with the travel date at least 15 days after the appointment at the visa application center

  • Sponsorship letter or no objection letter for travel if the travelers are a family

  • Original passport valid for more than 6 months, signed by the applicant, with at least two blank pages
  • Hotel reservation covering the full duration of stay in the country
  • Round-trip flight reservation
  • Travel medical insurance covering the full duration of stay in the country
  • Bank statement in English, issued no more than 14 days before the appointment, showing the last 6 months of transactions, stamped by the bank where the salary is deposited, and with a closing balance of no less than 15,000 SAR per person. *Online statements must meet three conditions to be accepted: include the bank’s name, official stamp, and barcode.*
  • Recent employment letter in English addressed to the embassy, stamped by the employer, issued no more than 15 days before the appointment. It must be certified by the Chamber of Commerce if the applicant works in the private sector; for government employees, the employer’s stamp only is sufficient. The letter must include: full name, job title, date of employment, monthly salary, and confirmation that the applicant is still employed.
  • Original national ID plus a translated copy in English
  • Copy of the family card translated into English if the travelers are a family
  • Copies of previous visas (Schengen or others)
  • Two (2) recent personal photos of the applicant, white background, size 3.5 × 4.5 cm
  • Appointment confirmation letter

The visa processing time is usually between 7 to 15 working days after the appointment, but it may vary depending on the discretion of the embassy.

Very important

If the applicant is under 18 years old, unemployed, or does not have a bank account where the salary is deposited, a first-degree relative must act as a sponsor by providing their own stamped bank statement for the last 6 months and a certified employment letter (attested by the Chamber of Commerce if employed in the private sector). The sponsor must also be present on the embassy appointment day with the applicant, carrying their original passport and a copy of the first two pages.
