UK Tourist Visa Requirements for Residents
Application Preparation Steps
- A copy of the passport valid for more than 6 months.
- A copy of the residence permit (from Absher).
- Previous visa (if available).
- A recent employment letter in English, addressed to the embassy, stamped by the employer. If working in the private sector, the letter must be attested by the Chamber of Commerce. If working in the government sector, the employer’s stamp is sufficient. The letter must include: Name – Job Title – Date of Employment – Monthly Salary – Confirmation that the employee is still working.
- A recent bank statement in English for the last 6 months, stamped by the bank where the salary is deposited, showing a closing balance not less than 15,000 SAR per person. Online statements must meet all three conditions to be accepted: Bank name – Stamp – Barcode.
- A translated copy in English of proof of relationship (Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate) if traveling as a family.
The required information will be sent by the assigned employee, and your response is needed to begin the process.

Required documents
- The completed application form.
- The original passport, valid for more than 6 months, signed by the applicant, and with at least two blank pages.
- A recent bank statement in English issued no more than 14 days before the appointment, covering the last 6 months, stamped by the bank, and showing a closing balance not less than 15,000 SAR per person. Online statements must include: Bank name – Stamp – Barcode.
- A recent employment letter in English, addressed to the embassy, issued within 15 days before the appointment, and stamped by the employer. If working in the private sector, it must be attested by the Chamber of Commerce. If working in the government sector, only the employer’s stamp is needed. The letter must include: Name – Job Title – Date of Employment – Monthly Salary – Confirmation that the employee is still working.
- The original residence permit.
- A translated copy in English of proof of relationship (Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate) if traveling as a family.
- Copies of previous visas (Schengen or others).
- The appointment confirmation letter.
Important notes
- The visa is usually issued within 15 to 30 working days after the appointment. Processing time may vary depending on the embassy’s discretion.
