Application Preparation Steps
- A copy of the passport valid for more than 3 months.
- A copy of the residence permit (Iqama).
- Previous visa (if available).
- One personal photo with a white background (size 5×5 cm).

Required documents
- The confirmation page of the Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application Form (Form DS-160).
- The original passport, valid for more than 3 months, signed by the applicant, and containing at least two blank pages.
- A recent bank statement in English for the last 6 months, issued within 14 days before the appointment, stamped by the bank where the salary is deposited, and showing a sufficient closing balance for the trip. For online statements, the following three conditions must be met for acceptance: Bank name – Official stamp – Barcode.
- A recent employment certificate in English addressed to the U.S. Embassy, stamped by the employer, and issued within 15 days before the appointment. For private sector employees: the letter must also be attested by the Chamber of Commerce. For government sector employees: a stamp from the employer is sufficient (no attestation required). The letter must include: full name, job title, date of employment, monthly salary, and confirmation that the applicant is still employed.
- Original residence permit (Iqama).
- Copies of previous visas (Schengen or others).
- Appointment confirmation letter.
- Two personal photos with a white background (size 5×5 cm).
Important notes
- The visa is usually issued within 5 to 7 working days after the appointment. However, the processing time may vary depending on the discretion of the embassy.
